Overview

The Vemetric Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring website traffic, user behavior, and key performance metrics. It provides a comprehensive view of your analytics data with interactive charts and real-time updates.

Key Metrics

The dashboard displays four primary metrics at the top of the page:

Users

Track unique visitors during the selected time period. See who’s currently online with the live indicator.

Page Views

Monitor total page views across your website, showing overall traffic volume.

Bounce Rate

Percentage of single-page sessions where users left without further interaction.

Visit Duration

Average time users spend on your website per session.

Interactive Chart

Metric Visualization

The main chart visualizes your selected metrics over time. You can:
  • Toggle metrics by clicking on the metric cards to show/hide them on the chart
  • Compare trends by enabling multiple metrics simultaneously
  • View tooltips by hovering over data points for precise values
  • Switch time periods using the timespan selector
On mobile devices, use the dropdown menu to switch between different metrics instead of toggling multiple metrics at once.

Real-Time Monitoring

Click the green “Live” indicator next to the Users metric to switch to live mode and see:
  • Current active users on your website
  • Real-time traffic updates every few seconds
  • Live event tracking as users interact with your site

Time Period Selection

Choose from preset time periods or create custom date ranges:
  • Live - Real-time data with 30-second intervals
  • Today - Current day’s traffic
  • 7 days - Weekly overview
  • 30 days - Monthly trends
  • 90 days - Quarterly analysis
  • 1 year - Annual performance
  • Custom - Define your own date range

Analytics Cards

The dashboard includes several detailed analytics cards:

Most Visited Pages

See which pages on your website receive the most traffic:
  • Page path and full URL
  • Number of unique visitors per page
  • Visual bar chart showing relative popularity
  • Click any page to filter the entire dashboard by that page

Top Sources

Understand where your traffic comes from:
Shows the referring domains that send traffic to your site (e.g., google.com, facebook.com)

Custom Events

Monitor the custom events you’ve implemented:
  • Total event count for the selected period
  • Event breakdown by event name
  • Event properties and their values
  • Time series visualization of event frequency
Click “Events” in the main navigation to see the full event stream with detailed properties and timestamps.

User Technology

Switch between three technology views:
See which web browsers your users prefer (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) along with version numbers.
Understand device distribution across Desktop, Mobile, and Tablet.
Track OS usage including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux variants.

Funnels Overview

Quick view of your conversion funnels:
  • Funnel name and icon
  • Conversion rate percentage
  • Number of users who completed the funnel
  • Visual step progression
  • Option to view by active users or first step users

Filtering Data

The dashboard supports powerful filtering to slice your data:
1

Add a filter

Click the “Add filter” button in the top-right corner
2

Select filter type

Choose from page paths, events, geographic locations, UTM parameters, device types, browsers, operating systems, or funnels
3

Configure the filter

Set the operator (is, is not, contains, etc.) and select or enter values
4

Apply filters

All dashboard cards update automatically to reflect your filters

Combining Filters

You can apply multiple filters simultaneously:
  • Filters use AND logic by default (all conditions must match)
  • Within a single filter, you can use OR logic for multiple values
  • Filters persist across navigation, allowing you to maintain context
Save time by clicking directly on items in dashboard cards to instantly filter by that value. For example, click a country in the geographic card to filter the entire dashboard to that country.

Incomplete Data Indicator

The chart displays incomplete data for the current period with a dashed line:
  • Solid lines represent complete, finalized data
  • Dashed lines indicate the current period that’s still in progress
  • This helps you distinguish between historical trends and real-time data

Comparison with Previous Period

Each metric card shows a trend indicator:
  • Green up arrow indicates growth compared to the previous period
  • Red down arrow shows a decrease
  • Percentage change quantifies the difference
  • Previous period data automatically matches your selected timespan
The previous period comparison helps you quickly identify trends and anomalies in your traffic patterns.
